Violet A. Summa

Violet A. "Vi" Summa, 78, of Springfield, died on March 20, 2025, surrounded by her husband and sons.
Born in South Philadelphia, the daughter of the late Daniel and Violet Vanore Mazzola, she lived in Ridley Park before moving to Springfield 46 years ago. Vi was a graduate of Ridley High School, class of 1964. She loved music, dancing, feeding family and friends, and spending time at the beach in Sea Isle City. The most important parts of her life were her loving husband, cherished sons, and grandchildren.
She was the wife of 56 years to Nicholas C. Summa; mother of Nicholas D. Summa (Colleen), Brett A. Summa (Bridgette), and David V. Summa (Elizabeth); grandmother of Lilliana, Alec, Francesca, and Gabriella Summa; and sister of Daniel Mazzola (late Bea), Joan Mazza (late Al), the late Carmella Prudente (late Steve), and William Mazzola (late Kass). She is also survived by many beloved nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation is 6:00-9:00 PM on Thursday, March 27, 2025, at the White-Luttrell Funeral Home, 311 N. Swarthmore Ave., Ridley Park; and 9:30-10:30 AM at St. Kevin Roman Catholic Church, 200 W. Sproul Rd, Springfield, where a Funeral Mass will begin at 11:00 AM, followed by burial at SS. Peter & Paul Cemetery.
