Virgil was born on April 10, 1936, in Hutchinson, KS, the son of Orville and Wave (Kirkuff) Hauschild. He spent twenty-eight years serving in the United States Army and retired as a Master Sergent. Virgil was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Lancaster. He married Victoria Shaver on Aug. 30, 1971, and she preceded him in death on April 26, 2016. He enjoyed building model airplanes, dollhouses, woodworking, and singing at church.
Virgil is survived by his son, Mike Hauschild (Enid Cambell), and brother, Donald Joe Hauschild.
He is preceded by his parents, wife, brother, Kenneth Hauschild, and sister, Elma Jean Beam.
