Virginia Lee Bell, age 85 of Semmes, passed away July 24, 2025, at her residence.

She was born November 13, 1939, to Ollie and Reba Chapman. Virginia was a member of Snow Road Baptist Church. She graduated High School in Statesboro, Georgia and continued her education at Statesboro Business College. It was in Statesboro where she met the love of her life, James A. Bell, with whom she shared 57 years of marriage. When she was in better health, she enjoyed working in her flowers and spending time with her daughters. She loved her family and always was very supportive of them.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 29, 2025, from 1:30 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Mobile Memorial Gardens, where the service will begin at 2:00 p.m. Burial will be at the adjoining cemetery. Son-in-law, Jimmy Dees, will officiate.

Pallbearers will be grandsons and great grandsons, Logan Bell, Zachary Johnson, Ryan Johnson, Joshua Dees, Christian Dees, and Nick Tuinder.

Jenny is survived by her sister, Merle Martin, daughters Angela (Steve) Presley, Aleta (Jimmy) Dees and son, Jeff (Sidonia) Bell. Grandsons, Logan Bell, Joshua Dees, and Christian Dees; granddaughters, Alisha Mooneyham, Nicole Byrd, Brieanna Presley, and Alex O'Connell. A host of other great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Ollie and Reba Chapman, sister, Melba Hagan, and husband Jimmy Bell.
