Mrs. Virginia Estelle Bell, 111 of Chase City, VA and formerly of the North View Community exchanged time for eternity on Thursday, November 13, 2025.
Mrs. Bell was born February 8, 1914 in North View, VA to the late Abron and Sallie Phillips. She attended North View School completing the 7th grade, which was customary during the time. She became a member of North View Baptist Church as a youth and remained a regular attendee until health changes prevented her from attending.
A consummate homemaker, Mrs. Bell was admired for her tidiness inside and outside her home. She enjoyed spending time in her flower and vegetable garden. Her hobbies also included crocheting, making Afghans, jigsaw puzzles, word search puzzles and playing board games.
Mrs. Bell married Henry Wilbur Bell in 1934, this union was blessed with four children. In addition to her parents and her husband she was preceded in death by her son, Freddie and her daughters, Shirley and Christine.
Left to cherish her precious memories are her son, Eugene Bell (Annie) of Chase City, VA; eight grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren; and two sons-in-law, Clarence Parker and Miller Lawson.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, November 22, 2025 at North View Baptist Church, 21273 Highway 47, South Hill, Virginia with Pastor Robert Faulcon delivering the eulogy. Interment will follow at Williams Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, Chase City, VA. Public viewing will be Friday from 2:00 PM until 6:00 PM at the funeral home.
