Virginia was born February 18, 1934, in Springhill, Louisiana to the late Robert Wallace "Bob" Basham and Alma (Zimmerman) Basham. Virginia's work included the Springhill Methodist Church, Springhill Press Newspaper, and the Slattery Law Firm. She loved the outdoors and spending time with her family and friends.
Virginia is preceded in death by her parents; her husbands, Gerald Winfred Burns and James Adair; son Andy Winfred Burns; and brother Bobby Jack Basham and wife Joan.
Virginia is survived by her son, Robert Burns and wife Tina of Gilmer, Texas, grandchildren, Robert W. Burns and wife Kimberly of Emerson, Arkansas and Amanda Ostenfield and husband Scott of Grand Prairie, Texas; and four grandchildren, Samantha Burns, Wayne Burns, Lucas Watson, and Lakelyn Ostenfield, and a host of extended family and friends.
Cremation services were provided by Lewis Funeral Home, Inc. in Magnolia.
