Donald Glen Rabb, 92, of Emerson, Arkansas, passed away Tuesday, November 11, 2025, at his home surrounded by his family.
Glen was drafted into the U.S. Navy where he served for two years at Barbers Point on the island of Oahu. While in the Navy many lifelong friendships were formed that would lead to many stories being told of their adventures together. Upon his return to civilian life, he was employed at International Paper in Springhill, LA for the next 26 years. During these years he also worked in the pulpwood and construction industry as well as maintaining his farm. After retirement from IP, he went into partnership with Tyson raising laying chickens for the next four years.
Glen had a love for his family, friends, and his community. His love for his family was not limited to just his immediate household but included all his siblings and their families. Most weekends and especially summer lake vacations were spent just like a big family reunion. Due to his work ethic and ability to fix just about anything he was called upon many times to help family, friends, and those in his community. He had a strong love for his community that started with his love of basketball. Many times, he has told the story of only going to school to play basketball. That love continued as he could be found at most any game watching his children and grandchildren play. He just loved a good game no matter who was playing or how far he had to travel to see it.
Glen was preceded in death by his wife of almost 70 years, Mary Janette (Jan) Morris Rabb of Emerson, AR; parents, James Rabb and wife Octavia Rabb of Emerson, AR; brothers, Floyd Pride and wife Clarice Pride of California, Don Ivan Rabb and wife Anna Rhea Rabb of Haynesville, LA, Ray Rabb and wife Ruby Rabb of Haynesville, LA; sisters: Evelyn Dudney and husband Theo Dudney of Magnolia, AR, Fay Morgan and husband Coy Morgan Sr. of Shongaloo, LA, and Dot Wharton; sister in law: Shirley Wright; brother in law, Horace Glynn Morris; niece, Linda Sneed; nephews, Robert Dudney, Jimmy Dudney, Robert Rabb, Coy Morgan, Jr., and Rickey Morris.
