Virginia Louise Carpenter, 81, passed away Sunday, March 2, 2025 at Franciscan St. Francis Health in Indianapolis.
She was born to the late Charles H. and Rosemary (Colvin) Rayman on Friday, December 3, 1943 in Washington, Indiana.
Virginia graduated high school from Washington Catholic High School. She worked as a certified nursing assistant for over 32 years. Virginia retired from Indiana Masonic Home in 2006. She was a wonderful caregiver and loved taking care of her family.
She is survived by son, Terry Breedlove; daughters, Barbara Caldwell, Jamie King, Debrae Vaughn; stepchildren, James "Bud" Carpenter, Jr. and Anna Miller; brother, Patrick Charles Rayman; several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Fritch Breedlove, Jr.; her second husband, James Stanley Carpenter, Sr. who she married July 1, 2006 and passed away on January 31, 2023; her parents, Charles and Rosemary.
A graveside service will be held at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 11, 2025 at Nebo Memorial Park Cemetery in Martinsville with Pastor James Hansel officiating.
