Swansea, Illinois - Virginia Cochran, age 89, of Swansea, IL, born on August 22, 1936, in East St. Louis, IL, died on December 25, 2025.
Virginia loved her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She enjoyed playing Bingo with her friends and was a great listener. Virginia never met a stranger. She will be missed by everyone that knew her.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Ernest McIntyre; her second husband, August "Gus" Cholet; her third husband, James "Bill" Cochran; and her parents, Walter and Josehine, nee Kukla Checinski.
Virginia is survived by her children, Ernie McIntyre, Debbie (Terry) Rose, Ronnie McIntyre, and Linda (Ward) Schanter; 9 grandchildren; loving great-grandchildren; her sister, Carolyn Watts; nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
The family would like to thank Hospice of Southern Illinois for the wonderful care and support they provided for Virginia. They would also like to thank Cambridge House of Swansea for their tender care of their mother.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, January 7, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Kassly Mortuary, Ltd., Fairview Heights, IL.
Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, January 7, 2026, at 12 p.m. Interment will be held in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, MO.
