Virginia Colich Obituary

Published by Legacy on Nov. 13, 2024.
Virginia McMillan Colich, age 99, passed away peacefully on November 10, 2024. Virginia was born on April 22, 1925 in Duluth, Minnesota. She married the love of her life Nick Colich Jr. on November 23, 1947. Virginia was known for her sense of humor and her ability to make a new friend everywhere she went. She loved to travel with her husband Nick, and later in life with her many friends from Naples, Florida. Virginia was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. A special thank you to everyone at Brookdale Edina for their kindness, friendship and care. Preceded in death by parents, Hugh and Hannah McMillan; husband Nick; and brother Bud. She is survived by her children Philip (Suzanne) Colich, Michael (Patti) Colich; her grandchildren Nicholas (Misha), Alexandra, Sam (Jenny), Cortney (Nate); great-grandchildren Winston, Roman, Oliver, and Hugo; sister, Marion Scott; sisters-in-law Dorothy Kovich and Adele Colich; and numerous nieces and nephews. A private service will be held for immediate family at Lakewood Cemetery to honor the life of Virginia. Although leaving us just shy of 100 years, we will celebrate and remember her on her 100th birthday in April and will forever carry her memory in our hearts.
