Virginia Belle Corwin, age 100, of Roscommon, died on Monday, June 10, 2024, at her home in the presence and comfort of her family.
Virginia was born August 5, 1923, in Kalkaska, Michigan, the daughter of Floyd and Erva (Haskin) Burt. Virginia loved her family and enjoyed cooking. She will be remembered for being "sharp as a tack." Virginia was very witty and had a wonderful sense of humor. Virginia was a member of the Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary. She liked volunteering in the surgical waiting room at the hospital. She had served on the auxiliary board at the Grayling Hospital.
Virginia will be greatly missed by family and friends. She is survived by her children: Butch (Betty) Corwin, Denise Corwin; grandchildren: Daniel (Missy), Maeghan, Carrah (Drew); great-grandchildren: Colin, Kate, Bucky, Marrisa, Skylar, and Hunter; sisters: Judy Thompson and Janice Florida; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends, including, Heather and Pete Moen, who Virginia loved as her own. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the best neighbors, Ed and Donna Thoma, for all you did to help.
Virginia is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Eugene; brothers: Bernard Burt and Stanley Burt; sisters: Della Sisler, June Davis, and Joy Birchmeier.
Virginia's family has chosen to remember her privately at this time.
