Virginia Lee (Munion) Flood peacefully passed away at the age of 87 in the comfort of her daughter's home, on July 8, 2025.

Virginia was born August 31, 1937 in Salem, NJ. She grew up in Wilmington, DE, and raised her children in New York prior to retiring in southern Delaware, then relocating to South Carolina. Virginia will be lovingly remembered by her five children, Sandra, Michael James, Victoria, and Patrick; in addition to her nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her sister Bettie Jane and is survived by her four brothers, Robert, William, David, and Paul.

Virginia retired from IBM in Poughkeepsie, NY and later began her beloved "Nana Away" business after relocating to the beach. She was an avid craftsperson, enjoyed baking decorative cakes, and will be remembered for the creative costumes she designed and wore. In addition to crafting, her volunteer work, time with family & friends, travel experiences, and many years in the dart league at the Millsboro American Legion #28 brought her great joy.

A viewing will be held on Saturday, July 19th, 2025, from 10 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Gebhart Funeral Home, 3401 Philadelphia Pike, Claymont, DE 19703. In honor of Virginia's generous spirit, the family kindly asks in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Cape May County Zoo.
