Farrell-Ryan Funeral & Cremation Services - RochesterBeloved mother, sister, grandmother and great grandmother passed away August 22, 2025 at age 84. Maria loved and was devoted to her family and friends above all. She enjoyed crocheting, knitting, celebrating holidays, bingo, and traveling back to her birth country, Italy. She was a hairdresser and also retired from Eastman Kodak, where she met her husband, Donald. She was a devote catholic. Everyone loved her and she was known as the life of the party where her smile would light up any room.
She is predeceased by her husband Donald Flood; sister Silvana Scialdone; granddaughter Gina Marie Kahnert; parents Anna and Giuseppe Scialdone; and brother-in-law Alfonso Cunti. Maria is survived by her children Anna (Michael) Flood, Dominic Cannella, Donald (Mary) Flood, Theresa (Andre) Dame, Lisa (James) Lloyd; grandchildren Andrew (Sara) Dame, Johnathan (Nicki) Dame, Micah (Alie) Dame, Josiah (Mallory) Dame, William (Kelly) Lloyd, Max (Rachel) Lloyd, Leah (Jessie) Lloyd and Wesley (Tara) Brown; siblings Melina(Michael) Mancini, Adriana(Giovanni) Scialdone and Luisa Scialdone; great grandchildren Haley, Daniella Delaney, Addi, Olivea ,Max, Ava , Elijah, Lucas, Nora , Rosemary and Ralph, Milo, William , Henry, and Jack, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held 12-3pm September 7th at Farrell-Ryan Funeral & Cremation Services 777 Long Pond Road. Her funeral mass will be held 10:00am September 8th at St. Johns Church 2400 W Ridge Rd, Rochester, NY 14626
