Passed away peacefully on August 21, 2025, at the age of 81.
He was predeceased by his parents, Harold and Bernice Kruspe; and his brothers, Ron Yantz, Bill, and Richard Kruspe. Russell is survived by his devoted wife, Karen Kruspe; his loving children, Stephanie (Josh) Macintyre and John Kruspe; grandchildren Ashley Kruspe and Alex McIntyre; his brother, Harold (Sue) Kruspe; sister-in-law, Heather Kruspe; along with many nieces and nephews who will cherish his memory.
Russell dedicated part of his career to serving the community as a Monroe County Sheriff and later worked at Xerox. Beyond his work, he will be remembered for his kind spirit, his fondness for dogs, and his lifelong passion for collecting records.
Family and friends are invited to calling hours on Monday, August 25, from 4:30–6:30 PM at Farrell-Ryan Funeral & Cremation Services, 777 Long Pond Road. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, August 26, at 9:15 AM at St. Charles Borromeo Church, followed by entombment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
