Virginia Bruce Gardella, 72, of Gainesville, TX, passed away October 4, 2025 in Gainesville.
Virginia was born February 27, 1953 in Stockton, CA. She was raised there and graduated from Edison High School. Virginia worked as a secretary at the California State Mental Hospital until it’s closing and then relocated to Sacramento where in the accounts payable department for the State of California. She was able to retire early and moved to Texas in 2016. Virginia enjoyed crafting and scrap-booking in her free time. She was dearly loved and will be remembered fondly.
Survived by: husband John R. Hunt of Gainesville; daughter Stephanie Gustafson (Craig) of Stockton, CA; daughter Randell Kenyon (Chris) of Stockton, CA; seven grandchildren; sisters ChaCha, Winni, and Matella; mother-in-law Mildred E. Hunt of Sanger, TX; and brother-in-law Robert J. Hunt (Diane) of Denton.
Predeceased by: father Joseph E. Gardella and mother June Evelyn (Cox) Gardella; sisters Judy and Robin; and father-in-law John H. Hunt.
A graveside service is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. on Monday, October 20, 2025 at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery, Dallas, TX.
