Graveside services are 11:00 am Tuesday, March 18, 2025, at Canton City Cemetery.
Brother David Lowery will officiate.
Virginia is survived by her son David Garland (Mary), grandchildren David Lee Garland (Amy) and Stephanie Garland (Lisa), great-grandchildren Grant Garland (Savanah) and Seth Garland, great-great grandchild Ace Elliot Garland and several nieces and nephews.
She was a member of North Liberty Church of Christ, and had been a former Avon Distributor and worked for the Madison County Herald, and retired as a clerk for the Canton Post Office.
Virginia was preceded in death by her parents James and Nell Chambers Knox, husband Oscar Garland, son Stevie Garland and brothers Joe, Frank, and Harold.
The family would like to thank Parkway Nursing and Rehab and Legacy Hospice for the care they gave. Memorials can be made to St. Jude’s and to Tunnel to Towers Foundation.
