Virginia "Ginger" Fithian, 76, passed away on Friday, July 18, 2025, in Exeter, New Hampshire, after courageously battling multiple infections over the past year.

Born in Burlington, Vermont, Ginger was the daughter of Clarence and Maxine Oakman of Rutland, VT. She was known for her strong faith, her musical gifts, and her fierce devotion to those she loved. A lifelong flutist, she often played alongside her beloved husband, David, who accompanied her on guitar. Together, they brought music and joy to their community, especially at weekly church dinners.

Ginger met David at New Life Church in Raymond, New Hampshire. Their bond was built on a shared love of Jesus and music, and their faith remained a guiding force in their life together.

A protective and determined single mother, Ginger earned her master's degree in psychology and built a meaningful career as a therapist. She was passionate about helping others find healing and hope. Her booming laugh, strong spirit, and unwavering support made her a source of comfort to many.

In quieter moments, Ginger enjoyed watching classic TV shows like Perry Mason and Gunsmoke, finding joy and nostalgia in their familiar stories.

She is survived by her husband, David Fithian; her daughter, Elisabeth "Lisa" Daniels; her brother, Christopher Oakman; and her sister-in-law, Bonnie Oakman. She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Maxine Oakman.

Visiting hours will be held at Brewitt Funeral Home in Epping, NH on August 14th, 2025 from 4pm-7pm, with a celebration of life service to follow at 10am on August 16th, 2025 at New Life Church in Raymond, NH.
