Virginia Gibson Hembree, 92, wife of the late Edward H.Hembree, died Tuesday, October 21, 2025.
Raised in Greenville, SC, she was the daughter of the late William and Bertha Gibson.
Ginny filled her home with love, laughter, and warm memories, always finding joy in the company of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Ginny had a zest for life that was evident in her many passions. Throughout her younger years, she enjoyed playing golf and tennis, activities that brought her happiness and camaraderie. As the years went by, she found joy in playing bridge with her friends, showcasing her strategic mind and warm spirit. Ginny was also a dedicated fan of Clemson football, often cheering loudly for her team and reveling in the excitement of the game.
Ginny's spirit will live on through the memories she created and the love she shared with everyone fortunate enough to know her.
She is survived by son, Richard Hembree; daughters, Kay Alewine (Don) and Tracy Vanzura (Mike); grandchildren, Lauren Cason (Matt), Tyler Alewine (McKenzie), Mia Bockus (Lee), Bradley Hembree, Kristan Cobbs (Wallace), and Logan Vanzura (LauraGrey); 5 great grandchildren; and her many beloved nieces and nephews.
