Virginia Ann Kamps, 87, received her wings to be with our Lord on December 16, 2025.
Virginia was born in Cleveland Ohio in 1938, growing up in Tremont and later settling in Hinckley, Ohio and becoming an active member of Our Saviour Lutheran Church. Virginia really enjoyed being a member of work social groups participating in such events as line dancing reminiscence of the Radio City Rockets performance. Later in life, while raising five kids, she became a real estate professional as one of Hinckley’s premier agents. She held numerous positions with various companies, but always prioritized her children, grandchildren and family above all else. She was proud of the time she served on PTA committees, which enabled her to spend precious time with each of her children. In her free time, she enjoyed ice skating, roller-skating and hiking, creating memories forever engrained within her children. In retirement, she became fond of her hummingbirds and butterflies, as they would often look in on her.
Virginia is survived by her husband, James, of 64 years, sister Helen Eierdam, brother Ted Day. Mother of five; James, Ray (Janette), Gary, David (Barb) and Kim (Rob). Grandmother of nine; Cecily, Wil, Nathan (Libby), Jessica (Ryan), Sierra, Jon, Megan, Dillan, Garrett and Great-Grandmother to three; Atlee, Gavin and Riley. Beloved Aunt to many. Preceded in Heaven by her Mother Jenny (Yanina) and Father Julius, brother Edward Timieski, sisters Mary Patla and Laura Grann.
An open visitation will be held at Our Saviour Lutheran Church 1605 Center Road, Hinckley Ohio 44233 on January 8, 2026, from 10:00 – 11:00am EST with a memorial service commencing at 11:00am. Committal at Hope Memorial Gardens, Hinckley, after the memorial service, with luncheon following at the Church. Contributions can be made to Our Saviour Lutheran Church.
