She is preceded in death by her husband, Benjamin "Benny" Lathan; her parents, Benjamin B. and Lovonia Hollis; sisters, Carolyn Galloway and Frances Skipper.
Virginia loved bingo, NASCAR and watching Wheel of Fortune. Her greatest love in life was spending time with her grandchildren and phoning with her family and she loved visiting with family.
Those left to cherish Virginia's memory include her daughter, Tonya Lathan Santiago (Jamaal); grandchildren, Christer Smith, Donovan Smith and Jalon Santiago; sister, Annette Hollis Hill (Stephen); nieces, Debbie Leach and Tammy Godwin; nephews, Allen Macks, William Gay and Greg Gay; cousins, Sue Riley and Joanne Rhodes.
The family will receive friends from 3:00 P.M. until 4:00 P.M. on Friday, May 17, 2024, at Heritage Funeral Home, Panama City. Funeral services will be held at 4:00 P.M. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Craig Brannon officiating.
