Virginia Ann Parsons (Ginny), resident of Pembroke Pines, Florida, passed away on May 9, 2025, in Hollywood, Florida at the age of 84 years.
Roger T. Bilodeau and Esther F. Bilodeau, residents of Manchester, New Hampshire, welcomed their daughter, Ginny, on November 1, 1940. Ginny was a resident of Manchester until the family moved to Hollywood, Florida where she started school at South Broward High School. Ginny met her future husband, Theodore Edward Parsons, at the Hollywood Roller Rink and were later married on August 1, 1959 at Little Flower Catholic Church in Hollywood, Florida.
Ted was serving in the United States Navy when they and married and they soon left for Maryland where Ted was stationed. Ted always refers to Ginny as having served along side with him. Ted and Ginny relocated back to Hollywood, Florida and started their family soon after. Ginny loved her husband and family deeply. Ginny was the head hostess at The Villa Di Giorgio in Hallandale, Florida and later an administrative assistant with a title company where she worked for many years.
Ginny was part of a monthly Bunco group with neighborhood friends for well over 20 years. She often helped out at St. Stephens Catholic School where her children attended. She had good times with many of the families she met and had a lot of fun assisting during the carnival events. Ginny was a softball and baseball Mom, attending her kids' games and helping out in the concession stands. Ginny, alongside Ted, was a member of the West Hollywood Elks Lodge #2365, where they enjoyed social events with Ginny always making baked goods and her famous deviled eggs. Ginny enjoyed traveling, many cruises, reading, cooking and finding new recipes. Ginny was very independent, cooking and running her household until she was hospitalized and passed away.
Ginny will be so deeply missed by her Husband, Ted, to whom she was married for 65 years and 8 months. Her children: Kathy Parsons Cote' (Don); Pamela Parsons Anderson (Patrick); Timothy Edward Parsons (Christine); and Kerri Parsons Hilyer (David). Her grandchildren: Lauren Lopez Soto, Lindsey Parsons, Eric Parsons, Kaitlyn Parsons, Kristopher Parsons, Kaylee Ann Hilyer and Zachary Edward Hilyer.
Ginny is predeceased by her Parents, Roger T. Bilodeau and Esther F. Bilodeau; Brothers Richard Bilodeau and David Paul Bilodeau.
At the request of the family, a private family gathering was held. Memorial donations may be made in remembrance of Ginny to St. Jude’s Ministries.
