Virginia Plaisance Obituary
Virginia T. Plaisance, 84, a native and resident of Raceland, passed away on Friday, July 25, 2025.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 29, 2025, at St. Mary’s Nativity Community Center, Raceland, LA, starting at 9:00 am until service time. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
Virginia is survived by children, Aledia P. Parks, Cameron J. Plaisance, Sr. (Liz), Monica P. Lirette (Arthur), Virginia “Jenna” Edwards (Craig) and Cleveland A. Plaisance, Jr. (Marilyn); numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and step-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Cleveland A. Plaisance, Sr.; parents, Eddie and Theresa Duet Trosclair; sister, Rita Hebert; son-in-law, Keith Parks and grandchild, Michael Lirette.
Virginia enjoyed baking and cooking for others with the crops she grew. She operated a fruit stand, Plaisance Produce, in Raceland for many years and would also attend local markets selling her produce.
There will be no family gathering following the services.
