Mrs. Virginia Redwine was born February 18, 1942 in Hemphill, West Virginia, the oldest child of Tom Butler and Annie Perkins. Virginia graduated from Kimball High School, "Class of 1960." Not long after she relocated to Flint, Michigan where she met and married the love of her life, James Redwine aka "Slim" and from that union they were blessed with one child, James Redwine Jr. aka "Jimmy". Virginia was employed at Fisher Ternstedt, a division of General Motors Corporation, where she retired after 25 years of service. She was a member of UAW Local #659 Retired Chapter. During her employment years, she also was a caregiver for her special aunt, "Ma Beck". Virginia untied with Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church where she sang in the EAC Choir. She later joined the New Jerusalem Full Gospel Baptist Church worshipping in God's service. She was a faithful Choir Member, singing and traveling with the choir. Virginia enjoyed going out shopping and when she didn't go out, she tuned to her favorite TV Shopping Channel QVC. She loved traveling with friends and family until her health slowly declined. She loved music and dancing, even dancing in her wheelchair to the Temptations. Mrs. Virginia Redwine leaves to cherish her memories: devoted grandson, William Terrence Redwine; sisters, Lena Gunn, Eda Vaux and Shirley (Paul) Foster of St. Louis, MO; brothers, Lacy (Cheryl) Kyle of New Jersey and William (Carla) Kyle of Nebraska; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins including special niece, Mary Ann Demps; friend, Nita Bryant; and longtime friend, Arlene Nash of Arizona. Virginia was preceded in death by her husband, James Redwine; son, James Redwine Jr.; parents, Tom Butler and Annie Perkins; and aunt, Rebecca Hampton. The family would like to express special thanks to Linda Bryson-Hill, Little Homie, Keisha and the Banks family, "The Basement", Maplewoods Manor and staff, the Robinson family (Tots-N-Lots), and True Gospel Missionary Baptist Church.
