Virginia Rich Obituary
Benson, NC: Mrs. Virginia Stephenson Rich, age 93, of Woodall Dairy Road passed away on Tuesday, March 25, 2025 at Liberty Commons Nursing and Rehabilitation in Benson. Funeral Services will be held-11:00 AM Friday, March 28, 2025 at Rose and Graham Funeral Home in Benson. Officiating will be Rev. Jessie Brock. Burial will follow in Roselawn Cemetery in Benson.
Mrs. Rich was born on July 8, 1931 in Johnston County to Mr. and Mrs. Robert Stephenson. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Forest Rich; daughter, Carol Naquin; son, James “Crisco” Johnson; grandson, Jeremy Naquin; sons-in-law, Mel Naquin and Wayne LeBlanc; granddaughter-in-law, Ashley Raynor Hall; and six sisters. Prior to retirement, Mrs. Rich worked in electronic manufacturing. She was born one of seven daughters and her Daddy affectionately nicknamed her “Gin”. She was a selfless person that always put the needs of others first and she loved her family wholeheartedly, especially her children and grandchildren. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Surviving includes her daughter, Debbie LeBlanc; son, Joey Johnson and wife, Lisa; grandchildren, Wesley Benson, Crystal Runyon and husband, Joe, and Jacob Johnson; great grandchildren, Aaron Runyon, Chloe Runyon, Bekah Shearin and husband, Zack, and Liam Johnson; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Thursday, March 27, 2025 at Rose and Graham Funeral Home in Benson.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Burnell Baptist Church at 3720 Old School Road, Four Oaks, NC 27524.
