Virginia M. "Ginny" Rude, 81, of Phoenix, passed away on Sunday, October 26, 2025 at her home, surrounded by her loving family. Virginia was born on July 14, 1944 in Saranac Lake NY daughter of the late Maynard and Jeanette LeClair Pickreign.

Ginny was all about her family. She loved square dancing with her husband Dave, playing cards and doing jigsaw puzzles. She also enjoyed listening to classic country music and watching reruns of Walker Texas Ranger. She cherished spending time with family and friends. We want to thank all of her care givers that gave her so much love and attention in the last years of her life. Anyone who knew her, knew that she had to get her hair done every week at Sandy's. That was a non negotiable appointment that made her happy. She wore many hats while she was working. She worked at Nestle where she met her husband, of 26 years, Neil, then at Ames, and the last job she had was driving a 18 wheeler cross country with her husband Neil.

She was predeceased by her former husband, Neil Snyder in 2003, and her present husband, David Rude in March of this year, her granddaughter, Nicole and her sister, Dorothy Pickreign.

She is survived by her four sons, Scott (Angela) Gower, John (Pam) Gower, Mark (Tammy) Gower and Michael Snyder; her grandchildren, Matt, Jonathon, Christopher, Chelsa, Jay, Ashlee, Haylee, Naomi, Austin, Colleen and Luke; 15 great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; her two brothers, Sonny (Rose) Pickreign and Wayne (Sue) Pickreign.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 1, 2025 from 12pm to 3pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals - North Syracuse, 705 N. Main St, N. Syracuse, with a service at 3pm. There will be a Celebration of Life at the American Legion, 3301 Fulton Ave, Central Square, following the service.
