Virginia Scheibly Obituary
CASTLETON - Virginia H. Scheibly, "Ginny," 94, of Castleton, passed away on Tuesday, May 13, 2025.
Virginia was born in Albany, N.Y., the daughter of the late William and Ruth (Williams) Atchinson.
She was a registered nurse for Dr. J. Skiff at Brookview Medical in Castleton for 30 years.
Survivors include her sister, Gloria Beerle; her daughters, Karen (Herbert) Armstrong and Christine (John) Burstein; daughter-in-law, Stephanie Scheibly; and grandchildren, Matthew Armstrong, Samantha (Armstrong) Blosser, Luke Burstein, Max Scheibly, and Lauren (Scheibly) Curley.
She was predeceased by her husband, Edward "Bud" Scheibly, Jr.; and son, Mark Scheibly.
Friends and family are invited to call Monday, June 2, from 10 a.m. - 12 p.m., in the Wm. J. Rockefeller Funeral Home, 165 Columbia Tpk., Rensselaer. A funeral celebration will follow at the funeral home at 12 p.m. Interment will be in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. A reception will follow at the Comfort Inn, 99 Miller Road, Castleton, for a celebration of Ginny's life.
Contributions in Virginia's memory may be made to Kitten Angels, 233 Houseman Street, Mayfield, N.Y. 12117, or to her church, Community Congregational, 221 Columbia Tpk., Rensselaer, N.Y. 12144.

Stephanie, We are sorry for your loss, it is such a small world my best friend would take me to the Schodack Sr. Ctr for exercise and Ginny was in our class we all loved her, I did not realize she was Marks Mom. May she rest in peace we will all miss her. She did not talk much but the expressions on her face said it all. Love Mary

My condolences on Ginny's passing. Ginny was a kind , warm sweet woman. I met her as a child many times because my mother was best friends with her sister in law Carolyn Bolton. We reconnected at the Schodack Sr center many years later. Ginny's friendly touch and sweet smile will be missed. Sincerely, Kate Schoyer
