Virginia Mary Stalzer of Las Vegas Nevada passed away on February 23, 2026, just two days before her 97th birthday.

Virginia was born February 25, 1929 in Cleveland Ohio, the daughter of Stephen and Caroline Metro. She grew up surrounded by aunts, uncles and cousins, where many attended Annunciation Catholic School with her.

She was married over 60 years to her spouse, Norman E. Stalzer who preceded her in death.

Virginia was a loving mother to Caroline Battaglia (Frank) of Texas and Norman Stalzer of Nevada, grandmother to Brian Corrigan and Jodie Green and Nanna to Campbell, Bailey, Caroline and Christopher. Bonus grandmother to Jill (Battaglia) Lucas, Seth and Grant.

The family moved to Michigan in the mid-sixties where they lived an active life. She took up golf at the age of sixty preparing for retirement. She enjoyed traveling, bowling, golfing and visiting casinos.

Upon retirement, Norman and Virginia moved to Las Vegas where they continued their active life until recent years.

Virginia is preceded in death by her younger siblings including Patrick, Robert and Grace.

Virginia leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews, each of whom fondly remembers her as their favorite aunt.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date in Ohio.

In lieu of flowers, donations are respectfully requested to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
