Virginia Isabelle Watson of Ash Flat, Arkansas, formerly of Lakeland, Florida, departed this life on November 23, 2025 at Ash Flat Nursing and Rehab at the age of 87. She was born in Dehue, West Virginia on May 27, 1938, the daughter of Jesse Lee Harrison and Mary Elizabeth DeLong.
In her early years, Virginia worked at Michigan Fruit Canners where she met the love of her life, James "JC" Watson. The two were united in marriage on October 20, 1956. Their journey together took them first to Kansas City, Missouri and later to Lakeland, Florida where they built a home filled with love and raised their two children, Jay and Carol Ann.
Virginia is survived by her son, James A. Watson (Gina) of Melbourne, Florida; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her mother, father, beloved husband, and daughter, Carol Ann Watson.
Virginia was laid to rest beside her husband, James C. Watson, in the Agnos Cemetery in Fulton County in north central Arkansas. Her family finds comfort in knowing she is reunited with those she loved so dearly.
