Virginia Hutchison Weaver, 90, of Searcy, died December 15, 2010. Mrs. Weaver was born May 18, 1920 in Evening Shade, Arkansas to the late Henry Clay and Cora Jefferson Fore Street. Mrs. Weaver worked as a nurse for 43 years, starting her career with Dr. Hawkins and spent her last 27 years working for Dr. C.W. Koch and Dr. C.E. Ransom. She was widowed by two husbands, Lon Hutchison and Dick Weaver. In addition to her parents and husbands, she is preceded in death by two children, Ruthie Smith and infant son Lonnie Gene Hutchison. She is survived by one daughter, Jackie Taylor and husband Jody; one son-in-law, Chub Smith; grandchildren, Alan Smith and wife Cindy, Jean Spence and fiancé Joe Harris, June Taylor, Teresa Brown and husband Don, Joanna Taylor and husband Johnny Johnson, Janet Baker and husband Ed, Leah Biard; nine great – grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews. Visiting hours will be held Friday December 18 from 5-7 PM at the Searcy-McEuen Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 10 AM Saturday in the Searcy-McEuen Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. David Crouch officiating. Interment will follow in White County Memorial Gardens under the direction of Searcy-McEuen Funeral Home. Lasting memorials may be made to Hospice or the charity of your choice. The family of Mrs. Weaver would like to say a special thanks to Dr. C.W. Koch and Dr. C.E. Ransom for all of the special care and compassion they have given her throughout the years and to Dr. Day and all of the nurses and aides that has been so kind to all of us during these past 12 weeks of illness.
