Virigina Lee Price

Virginia Lee Price, age 95, passed away of natural causes on November 22, 2025. She was born on January 2, 1930, in Duchesne, Utah, to Arch Ervin Price and Emma Lurene Jensen Price. Her lifelong curiosity and dedication to learning led her to graduate from Chemeketa Community College in Salem, Oregon. She had a deep love for words-writing heartfelt poetry and reading every chance she could. Her life was beautifully anchored by her faith in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, which she lived with devotion, gentleness, and quiet strength.

For much of her life, she called Kemmerer, Wyoming home. She cherished the town and the people there, forming lifelong friendships and embracing a community that remained close to her heart throughout her life.

In her later years, Virginia resided at The Lodge in South Jordan, Utah. Her family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the staff there for the love, kindness, and compassionate care they provided to her.

Virginia is survived by her children: Connie Dummer, Jay Brown (Kim), Karen McCandless, Allen Sellers (Sandy), and Troy Sellers. She is also survived by her sister, Lorraine Erickson, and her brother, Don Price. She leaves behind many nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, all of whom she loved dearly and who will forever cherish her memory.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Arch and Emma Price, her siblings La Vonda Hardman, Molly Hardman, Emma Jean Martin, Jay Price, and Lynn Belt. Her son Dennis Brown (Kathy), her son-in-law Jerry Dummer; her grandsons, Darrell Helvey, Troy Brown and Eric Dummer; and her granddaughter, Amber Jensen.

Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.

Virginia had a special love for country western music and could never resist the chance to dance. Her joyful spirit, warm smile, and kind heart touched everyone she met. She loved deeply, welcomed all, and made every person feel important. Those who knew her take comfort in imagining her dancing in heaven, surrounded by loved ones who have gone before her. She will be missed by many and remembered always with love.
