Vito Antonio Facciolla, age 86, passed away at his home surrounded by his loved ones on January 26, 2026. Vito was born on August 5, 1939 to Dominic and Teresa (nee Piccolo) Facciolla. Vito was the second of ten children. He was born in Italy, came to the U.S. when he was just 13 years old. He retired in
New Baltimore, Michigan.
Vito worked at Ford Motor Company for 43 years. He was elected by his co-workers to represent them as their U.A.W. committeeman. Vito loved his title and was always telling his family and friends if they needed a committeeman he was the man.
Vito's favorite place to be was outside in the sun. He loved tanning, playing poker, bocce ball, watching sports, and spending time with his children, grandchildren, and family. He gave a lot of people nicknames, that have stuck with them their whole life. He also enjoyed going to Florida to visit his brother, Gian, and loved the beach and the weather.
If you were a stranger broke down on the side of the road, he would be the first person to stop and help you. Everywhere he went, someone knew him…for real!
Vito is survived by his daughters, Gina Lafayette, Lisa (Keith) Saari, Lora (Kerry) Koch, loving grandchildren, Steven Lafayette, David (Megan) Lafayette, Kristin (Nathan) Oberski, Melissa (Liam) Logan, Amanda (Michael) LaBelle, Jenna (Josh) Johnson, Kayla Miller, and Kayden Koch, and great-grandchildren, Declan, Levi, Amelia, Scarlett, Aria, and baby Evelyn due in April. Vito was a cherished brother, brother-in-law and loving uncle to many nieces and nephews. He was also predeceased by his wife Jeannette, son Carlo, mother and father, Teresa and Dominic, his sister, Mary Suffredini, and his brother Frank Facciolla.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass for Vito on Thursday, January 29, 2026. He will lie instate at 10:00am until the time of a Funeral Mass at 10:30am at St. Mary Queen of Creation Catholic Church, located at 50931 Maria Street in New Baltimore. Vito's burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery at 36105 24 Mile Road, New Baltimore.

Vito's family gave him immense joy. He loved his family and will be greatly missed.
