Vivian J. Gorton Of Susquehanna, PA Vivian J. Gorton, 79, of Susquehanna, PA, passed away on Tuesday, June 17, 2025, at Hospice of the Sacred Heath Dunmore, PA. She was predeceased by her husband James Gorton and parents Roland & Loretta Vail. Vivian is survived by her children Brian (Tracey) Gorton and Tina (Joseph) Tanana; three grandchildren Megan (Matt) Didas, Carli VonWeinstein, and Alex VonWeinstein; great grandson Easton Didas; siblings Leon Vail, Gerry Vail, Eva Vail Baker-Schwartz; and many nieces and nephews. Vivian graduated from Susquehanna Community High School. After high school she worked at Arrow Spinning, Matis's Manufacturing, and the high school cafeteria. She was also a stay-at-home mom for a time, raising and caring for her children. Vivian was a fabulous cook and loved to bake for her family. Spending time with her family was Vivian's priority. She was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, and sister who will be dearly missed. At Vivian's request there will be no funeral services. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Sacred Heart, 100 William St. Dunmore, PA 18510, or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital 501 St. Jude’s Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
