Vivian Herrs, aged 79, passed away at the Neosho County Regional Medical Center in Chanute, KS on Tuesday, March 4, 2025 after a lengthy illness. She was born August 8, 1945 to Jesse and Eula Mae (Jones) Hopkins in Bogalusa, LA.
She was married to Lancy Davis, and to this union, Susan, Teresa and Lancy Davis, II were born. They later divorced and then she married Leonard Herrs of Mandeville, LA They celebrated 44 years together.
They operated the His & Herrs Antique store in Picayune, LA for many years, before moving to Kansas where they resided until her passing. Vivian helped Leonard with furniture and tractor restorations in their shop in Palmer, KS, until their retirement. She was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church of Linn, KS.
Preceeding her in death were her parents, son, Lancy Boyd Davis, II; grandson, Daniel Eugene Glover and siblings, Vernon Hopkins, Colbert Hopkins, Gwendolyn Hopkins Bullen, Loretha Hopkins Moore, Janice Hopkins Dixon.
Survivors include her husband Leonard, Susan Trapani (Charles), Teresa Breland (Richard), Step daughter Lynn Herrs Chifici (Jagade); 6 grandchildren, Nicki Lee, Robert Glover, Ashley Blevins, Emily Breland, Lance Boyd Davis and Landon Davis; 1 great granddaughter, Isabella Lee; 1 step grandson, Jagade Chifici, Jr. and siblings, Steve Hopkins, and Jerry Hopkins (Sandra).
Funeral services will be held on March 13, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. at the Immanuel Lutheran Church west of Linn, KS.
Visitation will be held from 1:00 pm until service time.
Interment will be in the Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery, rural Linn, Kansas.
Memorials may be made to the Vivian Herrs memorial fund, to be designated later by the family and can be sent in care of the funeral home.
