Vivian Lorine Jones

Vivian Lorine Jones–wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother – was always our refuge. She spent nearly 70 years nurturing a powerful love with Alfred Jones. Together, they were the kind of best friends who cherished each day side by side, their connection deepening as they continuously fell more in love with every passing day. Their partnership was an enduring example of devotion, companionship, and joy for the entire family.

No matter what was happening, good or bad, she brought comfort and understanding-ready to listen, empathize, or offer advice with her unique blend of honesty and kindness. Her quick wit, unforgiving memory, and humor filled the room and uplifted all who spent time with her and listened to her stories.

She believed deeply in the importance of connection, especially among women, and we are grateful to have been shaped by her strength and warmth. Whether offering encouragement, sharing wisdom, or simply being present, she had an extraordinary ability to make each of us feel seen and valued.

Her love was steady and deeply rooted. She gave us confidence to stand our ground, care for others, and pursue lives filled with joy and meaning. She inspired us to hold close those simple things that truly matter, and lead with compassion in all that we do.
