VIVIAN D. PHIPPS

Vivian D. Phipps passed from her earthly home to her heavenly home on Wednesday, August 30, 2023, at the age of 90. She was born September 19, 1932, in Cohay, Mississippi.
She was a resident of Pulaski, Mississippi, and an active member of Good Hope Baptist Church as long as her health allowed.
She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, caregiver to her son, Gerald; and friend to all that knew her. To know her was to love her. Her family was her greatest joy. She lovingly dedicated 59 years of caregiving to her precious son, Gerald Phipps.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Phipps; a son, Walter C. Phipps; a grandson, Shannon Purvis; her father, Edward Thomas Hutchinson; her mother, Evie Dew Hutchinson; brothers, T. D. “Shorty” Hutchinson, and Johnny “Bud” Hutchinson; and sisters, Quinnie Coley and Margaret Harris.
Survivors include her daughters, Dianne Henderson (George) of Raleigh, MS; Brenda Foreman (Ronnie) of Pulaski; Sarah McDaniel (Keith) of Homewood, MS; her sons, Gerald Phipps of Pulaski, MS; Jamie Phipps (Stephanie) of Hattiesburg, MS; and David Phipps of Pulaski, MS; grandchildren, Jason Foreman (Monica) of Homewood, MS, Lauren McDonnieal (Brent) of Raleigh, MS; Aaron Henderson (Joni) of Kilmichael, MS; Tye Henderson (Aly) of Raleigh, MS; Benji Foreman (Lauren) of Long Beach, MS; Brent Foreman (Beth) of Walnut Grove, MS; Kim P. Bradford (Dennis) of Reform, AL; Thomas Phipps (Subrina) of Starkville, MS; Kayla P. Sykes (Shelby) of Brandon, MS; Hannah Grace Phipps of Hattiesburg, MS; sixteen great grandchildren; six great-great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other family members.
Visitation will be 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, September 1, 2023, at Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Forest, Mississippi. Saturday visitation will be from 12:00 p.m. to 1:45 p.m., with the Funeral Service following at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Ott and Lee Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Eli Foreman, Jack Foreman, Aaron Henderson, Tye Henderson, Jason Foreman, and Shelby Sykes.
Honorary pallbearers will be Mason McDonnieal, Brody Foreman, and Beau Foreman.
Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Forest is honored to serve The Phipps Family.
