Vivian Voncile Ryals

Ryals - Vivian Voncile Ryals, age 79, of Callahan, Florida, passed away peacefully on October 18, 2025, at Community Hospice Center St. Vincent's Riverside in Jacksonville, Florida. Born on January 28, 1946, in Hilliard, Florida, Vivian was the daughter of the late John and Selma Crews. She was raised in Hilliard alongside her nine siblings and graduated from Andrew Jackson High School in Jacksonville. On January 26, 1964, Vivian married the love of her life, Bobby Cary Ryals. Together they shared 55 years of marriage and raised two children, Jeffrey Scott Ryals and Sheena Marie Lewis. Vivian began her career with BellSouth, where she worked diligently for many years before retiring in 1996. She was a devoted Christian woman whose faith guided every aspect of her life. Vivian loved reading the Word of God, attending gospel sings, and spending time in fellowship with others. In her leisure time, Vivian enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, traveling, and making cherished memories with her family. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Vivian's kindness, faith, and devotion to her family will forever remain in the hearts of those she touched. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bobby Ryals; and all nine of her siblings.

Vivian is survived by her two children, Jeffrey Ryals (Barbara Czinder) and Sheena Lewis (John); six grandchildren, Joshua Ryals, Jennifer Ryals, Candace Collins (David), Jessica Ryals, Justina Ryals, and John Lewis (Lexi); and nine great-grandchildren, Nevaeh Dixon, Zander Holly, Logan Lewis, Luke Collins, Natalie Collins, Annaliese Lewis, Nathaniel Lewis, Amelia Collins, and Evynleigh Lewis.

Pallbearers will be Edwin Crews, Kevin Crews, Jeff Ryals, John Lewis, Jr., David Collins, Samuel Crews, Logan Lewis, Luke Collins, and Zander Hollie.

A Celebration of Vivian's Life will be held on Saturday, October 25, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Bethlehem Primitive Baptist Church with Pastor Lee Whitaker officiating. Interment will follow at Mill Creek Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday, October 24, 2025, from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Nassau Funeral Home.
