Vivian Lorene Watkins, age 82, of Wright City, Oklahoma, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, June 1, 2025, at her home in Wright City, Oklahoma. Vivian was born on Monday, October 26, 1942, to Henry and Amber Rean McFarland Hardin in Wright City, Oklahoma.
Vivian was a lifelong soldier for Christ, devoted to sharing His love and grace with everyone she met. Her heart beat with a missionary's passion, and she found great joy in witnessing to others about God. A cherished member of First Assembly of God in Wright City, she never met a stranger-always eager to strike up a conversation, offer a smile, or lend a listening ear.
In her later years, Vivian became known for her heartfelt cards and handwritten notes of encouragement, faithfully reaching out to her community with love and kindness. She was a prayer warrior who deeply believed in the power of prayer, lifting others up with faith and compassion.
Vivian also enjoyed the simple, beautiful things in life-getting lost in Amish romance novels, planting Moss Rose and potted flowers each spring, and cooking her famous slow-roasted barbecue deer steaks for her loved ones.
Her unwavering faith, generous spirit, and boundless love will be deeply missed, especially by her children and grandchildren. Though she is no longer with us, her legacy of faith and love will continue to bloom in the hearts of all who knew her.
Vivian is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Buddy Watkins; two sisters, Jean Lawhon and Elizabeth Cogburn; son-in-law, Rev. Ed Clark; and grandson-in-law, Kevin Holleman.
Vivian is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Rev. Randy and Shelia Watkins of Wright City, Oklahoma; daughter, Rev. Sherry Clark of Seward, Alaska and daughter and son in law Teresa and Ty Morris of Wright City, Oklahoma; one brother and sister-in-law, Coy and Helen Cowart of Lebanon, Oregon; eight grandchildren, Amber and Stoney Browning, Kelli Reed and Derek Reed, Dara and Carl Crosby, Kassidi Morris, Anthony and Kaycie Watkins, Kevin and Kathryn Clark, TyAnn Morris and Alex and Kylie Watkins; five great-grandchildren, Kloe and Peyton Childres, Zander Holleman, Liberty, Chaycee and Remi Cantrell; one great-grandchild on the way; one great-great-grandchild on the way; special friends, Dashie Houck of Durant, Oklahoma, Marie Burton of Wright City, Oklahoma and special cousin, Betty Collins of Wright City, Oklahoma; several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral Services will be held June 5, 2025, at the Wright City First Assembly of God in Wright City, Oklahoma, with Brother Tag Rowan, Brother Ronnie Chaney and Sister Joyce Luman officiating. Interment is to follow at the Joe Slater Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be held June 4, 2025, at the Bowser Family Funeral Home Chapel in Broken Bow, Oklahoma.
Pallbearers will be Kevin Clark, Anthony Watkins, Carl Crosby, Alex Watkins, Zander Holleman and Peyton Childres.
Honorary pallbearers will be Tommy Lemmons, James Stuart, Trent Wright and Roy Wolfe.

Dear Sherry, Randy, Teresa & families,

I am so, so sorry to hear about the passing of your sweet mother. I only found out during her service. The last time I saw your mom, I told her how pretty she looked. She always took good care of herself & dressed immaculately. She was an awesome mother & did a great job raising you kids. I know you will greatly miss her. Hang onto your wonderful memories.

Love you,
Anita Gail
