Marion Dill Claborn, age 91, of Wright City, Oklahoma, died on Sunday, October 12, 2025, at his home. He was born on Friday, August 24, 1934, to John Robert Sr. and Dora Ellen Hunkapillar Claborn in Glover, Oklahoma.
M.D. was a man of deep faith, hard work, and love for family. A devoted Christian, he faithfully attended Wright City First Assembly of God, where his quiet strength and devotion to the Lord were evident in the way he lived his life.
He worked for over 30 years with Weyerhaeuser, where he served as a millwright, electrician, and supervisor before retiring. M.D. took great pride in his work and was respected for his knowledge, leadership, and dedication.
Before and after his retirement, he enjoyed the peace of country life, raising Brahma cows and later Angus cattle. An outdoorsman at heart, he loved deer and quail hunting and never missed the chance to catch a big ol' catfish.
Above all, M.D. loved his family and cherished every moment spent with them. He will be remembered for his faith in God, his strong work ethic, and the love and warmth he shared so freely with those he held dear.
M.D. was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, J.R. Claborn; his three sisters, Mildred Harvey, Betty Harrison and Patrevia Ann Taylor.
M.D. is survived by his sons and daughters in law, Jeff and Susan Claborn of Wright City, Oklahoma and Danny and Barbara Roberts of Holly Creek, Oklahoma; one sister, Shirley Johnson of Shawnee, Oklahoma; his special friend, Marie Hadley of Eagletown, Oklahoma; four grandchildren, Corey Claborn of Glover, Oklahoma, Kit Claborn, of Springdale, Arkansas, Tony Roberts of Holly Creek, Oklahoma, and Tommy Roberts of Glover, Oklahoma; eight great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, October 14, 2025, at 2:00 P.M. at the Joe Slater Cemetery in Wright City with Brother Tag Rowan officiating. No visitation planned. Arrangements are entrusted to Bowser Family Funeral Home in Broken Bow, Oklahoma.
Pallbearers will be Corey Claborn, Kit Claborn, Tony Roberts, Tommy Roberts, Dion Taylor, and Kadyn Claborn.
