Orville Dick Burnett, age 60, of Broken Bow, Oklahoma, died Tuesday, September 2, 2025 at his home in Broken Bow. He was born on Friday, April 23, 1965 to Archie Burnett and Betty Sue Curtis Williams in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Orville was a man who held his family close to his heart. He especially cherished his mother, his wife Susie, and his faithful dog, Foot, who was always by his side.
In his younger days, Orville worked at Tysons, and throughout his life he enjoyed tinkering with mechanical devices and working with wood, always finding joy in creating and fixing things with his hands. He also had a love for alternative rock music, which was often the soundtrack to his days.
Orville will be remembered for the love he gave so freely to those dearest to him and for the simple joys that filled his life.
Orville was preceded in death by his parents.
Orville is survived by his loving wife, Susie Burnett of Broken Bow, Oklahoma; two sons, Michael Walker and Daniel Mitchell both of Antlers, Oklahoma; three daughters, Latisha Penner and Latosha Penner both of Wynnewood, Oklahoma and Dawn Mooney of Broken Bow, Oklahoma; one sister of Greta Burnett of New Mexico; ten grandchildren; two great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends.
No services are planned at this time and with cremation services entrusted to Bowser Family Funeral Home in Broken Bow, Oklahoma.
