On February 1st, 2024, Vivien Glen "Scratch" Calcote, went from labor to reward. Vivien Calcote's services will be Saturday, February 17th, 2024, at Eastern Star Baptist Church, 548 E 15th St at Austin Ave. Visitation will begin at 10 am. Funeral Services will begin at 11 am. Interment will be at Greenlawn Memorial Park, Groves, TX.
Vivien Glen Calcote was born on February 20th, 1950, in Port Arthur, TX to Roy and Marie Calcote. He graduated from Abraham Lincoln High School in 1968. He worked at Gulf/Chevron for many years, and he also worked for the Port of Port Arthur.
Vivien was proceeded in death by his parents, Roy and Marie Calcote, his nephew, Roydrick Calcote, and great-nephew, Carl Diles.
Vivien leaves to cherish his memories, his son, Shawn Owens (Debbie), his four daughters, Treanise Owens, Rhonda Calcote, April Calcote, and Amber Woods (Shawn). He also leaves his siblings, three brothers, Roy Calcote (Mary), Willie Calcote (Bertha), Herbert Calcote, his sisters, Elaine Walker, Maxine Hayes, Betty Traveler, and Ada Steward, his grandchildren, great-grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
