Vivien Amy Rumfield left this world to be with her Heavenly Father on Tuesday, November 14, 2023 at age 65. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend.
Amy was born to George and Carlyn Livingston (Drewyor) on December 3, 1957 in Canton, Ohio. After moving to Michigan and graduating from high school, Amy went on to work at General Motors and then Care-Free Windows in Charlotte. Her true calling came later in 2001 after starting at the Ionia County ISD where she was a one on one paraprofessional for special needs students. Amy served many students in Portland, Lakewood, and Ionia and recently retired from Ionia Public Schools in 2021. Many of her most cherished friendships came from working at Ionia High School and her spirit will be dearly missed by all those who knew her there.
Amy loved spending time with her children and grandchildren and travelling with her husband Tim. She was an avid Nascar and football fan and loved anything Detroit Lions or Tigers. She enjoyed going to the beach and the Daytona 500 race each year. Her infectious laugh and larger than life personality left an impact on everyone she met. Amy was selfless and would do all she could to help anyone in need. She will be loved forever and deeply missed.
Amy was preceded in death by her dad George Livingston and her late husband Ron Patrick. She is survived by her mother Carlyn Drewyor (Bob Adelwerth), brothers George (Karen) Livingston, Eric Livingston, Matthew "Whitt" Drewyor, Pine (Acacia) Drewyor, and husband Tim Rumfield, son Blade Patrick (granddaughter Ella Patrick), daughter Paige Patrick (Mike & Jackson Fuller), step-sons Nick (Sarah, Danny, Noah, Asher) Rumfield, and Jeff Rumfield along with several nieces and nephews.
Visitation and Celebration of Life services will occur at the Sunfield United Brethren Church. Visitation will be on Tuesday, November 21 from 5:00-8:00pm. A Celebration of Life Service will be on Wednesday, November 22 at 11:00am with a luncheon to immediately follow. Graveside services will be at 1:30pm at Welch Cemetery.
