Vlado Pavich

November 13, 1940 – September 16, 2025

Vlado Pavich, 84, passed away on September 16, 2025, in Astoria, New York. Born in the coastal village of Kožino, Croatia, Vlado was the oldest of five children. On October 5, 1968, he married his sweetheart, Mirislava, and soon after they immigrated to the United States, settling in Astoria, Queens.

Vlado was a man of quiet strength, deep faith, and endless generosity. He was devoted to his family and friends, always ready with a warm smile, wise advice, and a helping hand. His legacy is a testament to his love, resilience, and unwavering commitment to those he held dear.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 56 years, Mirislava; his children, Mary and Johnny (Karyn); and his three cherished grandchildren, Ivo, Marko, and Lana, who were his greatest pride and joy. He is also survived by his brothers Tomislav (Vedrana) and Ante (Olga), and Sister-in-law Zdenka, as well as many nieces, nephews, and lifelong friends.

Vlado is predeceased by his parents, Ive and Marija; his brother Ljubomir; and his sister Gabrijela.
