W. ADER Obituary

Newport - W. Glenn Ader, 94, passed away on February 22, 2025, at home surrounded by his family. He was born on May 30, 1930, in Weiser, Idaho.

Glenn was a man of many talents. He loved the outdoors and spent much of his time working with cattle, horses and driving tractors while practicing yodeling. He also enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting, swimming, and water skiing.

He was gifted at working with his hands. Whether crafting furniture, decorative pieces for the home, plumbing or electrical work he could do it all. Glenn's passion for working on cars led him to become a Master Mechanic.

He was always willing and ready to lend a hand to anyone.

At 22, Glenn married Jeannete Sulisky, and started a family of 2 children, Bob and Jeri Ader.

At the age of 33, Glenn married Arlene Fancher and embraced a blended family with four children, Sharon, Patty, Bonnie, and Wes.

Together with Arlene, they enjoyed square dancing while also dedicating time to mentoring young boys as a Cub Scout Master.

Glenn served in the National Guard, his service reflected his meticulous nature and dedication to hard work.

A man of deep faith and strong values, Glenn was known for his kindness and lighthearted spirit. He believed in peace over conflict and often reminded others that "it takes a bigger man to use his words than his hands".

Glenn is survived by his five children, Sharon SvastiSalee, Bonnie Jones Reichert, Bob Ader, Jeri Shining, and Wes Jones; as well as numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife, Arlene Ader; ex-wife, Jeanette Smith; daughter, Patty Nichols; sons-in-law, Paul Nichols and Larry Reichert; and grandson, Joe Nichols.

A memorial service will be held on March 29, 2025, at 1:00 PM, Colbert Presbyterian Church, located at 4211 E. Colbert Rd., in Colbert, Washington (99005).
