Funeral services celebrating the life of Mr. W.A. “Dub” Greer, 90, of Rayville, LA will be held at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, December 14, 2023, in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home Rayville, LA with Rev. Charles Elzy officiating. Interment will follow in the Greer Cemetery in Rayville, LA.
Mr. Greer was born on September 15, 1933, in Rayville, LA and passed away on December 10, 2023. He served his country in the United States Air Force. Dub was an Engineer with the Louisiana Highway Department retiring in 1987. He also served on the Richland Parish Policy Jury and worked at Delta Ridge Implement for many years. Dub loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing, and gardening. He was a farmer at heart. Mr. Greer also was a member and deacon of Zebedee Baptist Church and Woodlawn Baptist Church. He is preceded in death by his parents; siblings and his granddaughter, Andee Nicole Greer.
Survivors include his wife, Pat Greer; sons, Mitchell Greer and wife, Nollie, Jeff Greer and wife, B.J., and Steve Greer and wife, Teresa; grandchildren, Marissa Davis and husband, Jon Taylor, Nicholas Greer, Zeb Greer, Brad Greer and wife, Abby, Jason Greer, Dan Greer and wife, Emily, Desiree Weems and husband, Matt, Genevieve Banner, and Brad Crawford and wife, Miranda; great grandchildren, Rae, Heidi, Lakelen, Keegan, Drew, Anna Gayle, Willis Alan, Ari, Mercy, and Liam; brother, George Wesley “Wenchy” Greer and wife, Sue; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Mr. Greer’s Grandsons will serve as Pallbearers, Brad Greer, Jason Greer, Nicholas Greer, Dan Greer, Brad Crawford, and Zeb Greer. Honorary Pallbearer will be Brent Greer.
Visitation will be held from 1:00 P.M. until service time on Thursday at Mulhearn Funeral Home Rayville, LA.
