Wade Atkins Obituary
The world lost a kind and gentle soul on the evening of March 1st, 2025 when Wade passed away unexpectedly. His warmth, generosity, and unwavering love for those around him left an indelible mark on the hearts of all who knew him.
Wade made everyone feel at home, whether through his quick wit, the way he listened with genuine interest, or simply by being a steady presence in the lives of those he cared about. He found joy in the little things-sharing stories, lending a helping hand, and creating laughter where there was once silence.
He had a deep appreciation for his family and friends and those who knew him best will always remember the way his eyes lit up when he spoke about those closest to him. His kindness knew no bounds, and his love was felt in the way he showed up-always present, always supportive, always giving.
Though his time with us feels far too short, the love and memories he leaves behind will forever remain in our hearts. We will honor his life by carrying forward the lessons he taught us-to love fully, laugh often, and cherish each moment.
He is deeply missed, but his spirit will continue to shine in the lives he touched.
Left to cherish Wade's memory are his two brothers, William Milburn Atkins III Dayton OH & Martin Lang Atkins, Sandusky OH; nieces and nephews, William Robert Atkins, Katherine Elizabeth Atkins, Kimberly Nicole Atkins, Katlyn Nicole Perry, and Jeffrey Allen Atkins; as well as a large, loving, extended family and many supportive friends and neighbors.
A Celebration of Wade's life will be held on Saturday March 8, 2025 at 10:00AM at Burroughs Funeral Home, 3558 Old Kings Highway, Murrells Inlet, South Carolina 29576. The family will greet friends, following the service until 12:00PM. Inurnment will take place on the same day at Lee Cemetery, located on McCutcheon Road in Lake City, SC at approximately 3:00pm.
