Wade Robert Headrick, age 89, of McDonough, Ga. was taken home by his Heavenly Father during the early morning hours on Wednesday, May 28, 2025. He was a beloved husband, father, and grandfather and worked for Delta Airlines for 19 years before his retirement. Wade loved the outdoors and especially loved to keep busy. Among his interests, he enjoyed working on lawnmowers and riding his Gold Wing motorcycle. He is preceded in death by his parents, Charles & Mary Headrick; his beloved wife of 62 years, Barbara Jean; brothers, Charles James Headrick, Paul Martin Headrick, and Fred Ray Headrick; sisters, Mable Irene Pendley and Winona Ethel Wade. He is survived by his daughter, Denise & her husband, Ray L. Story, Jr. of McDonough, Ga.; son, Robert Alan Headrick of Sandy Springs, Ga; granddaughter, Rebecca Marie Story of McDonough, Ga. The family will receive friends on Thursday, June 5, 2025 from 10:00 until 11:00 AM at the Grandview Cemetery Mausoleum Chapel. The funeral service and interment will follow at 11:00 AM at Grandview Cemetery with Rev. Norman Holland officiating.
