Wade Sullivan Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Modetz Funeral Home - Silverbell Chapel on Nov. 21, 2021.
Wade Michael Sullivan, a life-long resident of Lake Orion passed away unexpectedly on November 18, 2021, at the young age of 54.
Wade is survived by his loving wife Sheri and his adored daughter Grace; his loving parents Alexandria (Jim) Hicks & Gary (Robin Swift) Sullivan; his "little" sister Samantha; and his cherished niece and goddaughter Hannah Adair. Wade is also brother to Brett (Jennifer) Knapp, Teena (Les) Neal, Terri (Garrett) Fox, and Craig (Saundra) Hicks; will be missed by his Uncle Christopher (Marie) Wade, Uncle Monte (Dianne) Wade, Aunt Barbara (Rick) Baker; numerous adoring cousins; and countless friends.
Wade was born on April 15, 1967. He was a graduate of Lake Orion High School where he played soccer and was a member of the ski team. He went on to earn his degree in Business Administration from Michigan State University where he was an active and proud member of the Delta Chi Fraternity. He founded and managed a successful construction company with an excellent reputation for integrity and quality.
Wade loved boating, snow skiing, mountain biking, wake surfing, and hiking with his faithful dogs. He was committed to sharing his passions with his daughter. Wade loved traveling with his family and cherished their most recent adventure to Alaska. The weekend before his passing, Wade and Grace went to MSU to cheer on his beloved Spartans to another victory on the gridiron. His greatest pleasure was supporting Grace and her teammates at their soccer and basketball games.
Wade had the utmost respect for the United States Military, Veterans, and First Responders. He treasured the medals of honor that were passed on to him by his grandfathers, both veterans of World War II; Charles Earl Sullivan of the United States Army Air Forces, and Alfred Allen Wade of the United States Navy.
Above all, Wade will most be remembered for his devotion to and love for his wife, daughter, family, and friends. Wade was a true gentleman with a heart of gold, a generous spirit, an enormous zest for life, and the most amazing sense of humor. Wade was larger than life, he never met a stranger, and most introductions turned into friendships. The party began and ended with Wade. Godspeed.

I was his neighbor and friend for many years. We build several hoses over the years. He was a great friend and business associate. I lived next door when Grace was born and he and Sheri where such proud parents. He never a bad word about anyone. Always fast with a witty remark. He will be missed but not forgot.

My deepest sympathy to the Sullivan family, and all. I remember when Wade was born. He was the cutest little boy, and lit up the room with his presence. Wade´s presence will always remain in the hearts of those who knew him.
