Wallace Stanford Besser, Sr. entered into eternal rest on May 22, 2023. Beloved husband of the late Yvonne Fulham Besser. Father of Wallace S. Besser, Jr. Son of the late Charles Besser and Anita Slaton. Brother of the late Minnie Lou Austin and Charlcie Turner. Age 92 years, born in Amarillo, TX, raised in Charlotte, NC, with family in South Carolina, and a longtime resident of River Ridge, LA. Wallace was a Veteran of the United States Navy. He was known as Wally or the "Egg Man" as the owner of Crescent City Egg Company and AA Egg Company for many years. He was an avid handball player at The New Orleans Athletic Club, New Orleans Saints Football Fan, and member of The American Legion and The B.P.O. of Elks. He truly was THE BEST DAD EVER and will be deeply missed! Relatives and Friends of the Family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass in the Parlor of Mothe Funeral Home, 1300 Vallette St., Algiers, LA on Thursday, June 1, 2023 at 1:30 PM. Interment St. Bartholomew Cemetery, Algiers, LA. Visitation will be held from 11 AM until 1:30 PM.
