Wallace Paul "Wally" Bosse, 86, of Wabash, Indiana, formerly of Peru, Indiana, died at 11:22 p.m., Wednesday, December 31, 2025. He was born on October 22, 1939, in Batesville, Indiana, to Herbert and Mabel (Bohlke) Bosse.
Wally went to Ball State University and obtained his Bachelors and Masters Degree in teaching. He married Patricia "Pat" Elsey in Osgood, Indiana on August 24, 1963; she died in 2004. Wally was a longtime teacher at Peru High School, retiring in 2002. He was a member of the Indiana State Teachers' Association, the First Presbyterian Church and the Maennerchor, both in Peru. Wally loved reading, telling bad jokes, and traveling, especially to the mountains. Wally was a sports fanatic and enjoyed following any of his grandkids' activities or sporting events. Family meant everything to Wally; he cherished his time with all of them.
He is survived by three children, Kristi (Bob) Hunter of Indianola, Iowa, Karyl (Jim) Kirk of Wabash, and Kyle (Jennifer) Bosse of Brownsburg, Indiana; eight grandchildren, Sarah Hunter, Becca Hunter, Hannah (Drew) Bender, Abby (Nick) Driskill, Noah (Kristin) Kirk, Jacob Bosse, Jordan Bosse, and Allison Bosse, six great grandchildren, with a set of twin great grandchildren on the way. He is also survived by his brother, Dale Bosse of Batesville. Wally was also preceded in death by his parents, and his sister, Carolyn Scheele.
There will be a private Celebration of Wally's Life at a later date. Arrangements by Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, Wabash.
