Wallace Reid Perkins passed away at the age of 84 in the early hours of Friday, March 7th, at his home in Indian Land, SC. Service will be held Thursday, March 13, 2025, at Palmetto Funeral Home in Fort Mill, SC at 11:00 am.
Born in Waxhaw, North Carolina; to Ira Lee Perkins and Ola Bette Mclain. Reid and his wife Mary Neal moved to Indian Land, South Carolina in 1967. He retired from a career in land surveying where he and his sons plotted large areas of Piedmont, South Carolina.
Reid was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Neal Perkins. He is survived by his sons Butch Perkins (Penny) and Scott Perkins; his five grandchildren Josh (Allison), Amanda, Lane (Victoria), Cole (Angel), and Scarlett Perkins; and seven great-grandchildren Justin, Christian, Abigail, Brooklyn, Ridge, Olivia, and Sophie.
He will be remembered for his love of racing, hunting, and all things outdoors but above all for his kind heart and the pride he took in a job well done.
Service will be held Thursday, March 13, 2025, at Palmetto Funeral Home in Fort Mill, SC at 11:00 am. Following the service there will be a receiving of friends and family at the family home.
