Funeral service will be 10:00 am Tuesday, May 21, at Adams EE Stringer Funeral
Home in Buna with burial at Antioch Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-8 pm Monday at the funeral home.
Wally was born July 17, 1956, in Many, Louisiana to Wallace E. Dowden, Sr. and Ruthie
(Canady) Dowden. He had lived in Buna since 1985 and was a truck driver and a U.S.
Marine Corps Veteran.
He is survived by his children, Aaron Dowden of Buna; Walinda Neel and Jason of Sour Lake; Ray Tatum and Monty of Lumberton; Eric Tatum and Kelly of Buna; mother, Ruthie Dowden of Baton Rouge; sister, Linda Dowden of Lafayette; multiple grandkids and great grandkids; significant other Lyn McCollough and family.
He is preceded in death by his father, Wallace Dowden, Sr.; brother, Cliff Dowden; wife,
Linda Dowden; and son, Michael Tatum.

Sorry to hear of his passing. Even more sorry we grew apart after high school. Made a lot of memories at Sam Houston Elem. Wally, Marty Robbins and I had some good times growing up. Mrs Dowden my prayers are with you, Linda and all his family. Rickey Deslatte
